England call up Nathan Catt as injury cover
May 28, 2014
Uncapped Bath prop Nathan Catt has been added to the England squad for the tour of New Zealand amid worries over the fitness of Mako Vunipola and Joe Marler. Vunipola has a knee problem picked up on Saturday while Marler has a slight hip strain.
"We have decided to take Nathan out with us now to ensure he is up to speed with our systems and structures in the lead up to next week," Stuart Lancaster said.
Catt, 26, who has played 73 times for Bath, has appeared at England Under-20 level and also played for England Saxons.
