Wasps flanker James Haskell is adamant he will take any England opportunity with "both hands".

Haskell last played for England in their 30-3 loss to Wales at the end of the 2013 Six Nations. Since then, he has struggled with a knee injury but in recent weeks, his form for Wasps has been impressive and he could yet play a key role for England in New Zealand.

With Northampton Saints in the final of the Aviva Premiership, Haskell could step into the void left by Tom Wood at blindside for that first Test on June 7 and if given the chance, Haskell is keen to impress after a spell in the international wilderness.

"I miss it hugely," Haskell told the Daily Telegraph. "This season was the first time I had missed the Six Nations and the autumn internationals. This is the first time for a long time I've gone a whole year without being involved with England and it is difficult.

"My sole motivation for coming back from injury, putting my body on the line and trying to play well is to get back there with England. If I get the opportunity I will seize it with both hands, but that's a decision for the coach. I've just got to keep on doing what I do and we'll see what happens."
