Great Britain hurdler Jack Green is reportedly considering a switch to rugby union.

Green announced on Tuesday he would be taking a prolonged break from athletics due to depression and will not take up his spot on next year's World Class Performance Programme. And a switch to rugby could occur as reports in the Telegraph claim Green has been training with Newcastle Falcons as he looks to a team sport rather than an individual one.

Rugby has a strong link with track athletics with Marlon Devonish currently training Gloucester's backs. And back in 1992, 110m hurdler Nigel Walker joined Cardiff and went on to win 17 caps for Wales.
