Ireland lost regular wickets throughout there reply and just didn't hit enough boundaries to put the Afghan bowlers under any real pressure. Once Stirling fell to a Worldie of a catch from Aftab, you just could just see the hope go out of the innings. A quick fire 34 off 23 balls, briefly brought life back in, yet it quickly went again.

Afghanistan's bowlers all took wickets and Rashid once again finished with 3. So a 16 run victory means that they go 1-0 up in the series. The next game is on Wednesday, so hopefully you can join me then. This is Justin Smyth saying goodnight from a darkening Bready.

Rashid Khan to Dockrell, FOUR runs, and this one goes to the boundary too! Dockrell hits the ball toward cow corner, the fielders don't even bother chasing the ball as they know they have it won!
Rashid Khan to Chase, 1 run, sweeps the ball down to long leg to get off the mark
Rashid Khan to Kane, OUT, goes for it the third time, this time Zadran is waiting and takes the easy catch at mid-wicket

TE Kane c Najibullah Zadran b Rashid Khan 8 (2m 3b 2x4 0x6) SR: 266.66

Rashid Khan to Kane, FOUR runs, back to back boundaries, gets a thick edge and it runs fine, very fine to the boundary
Rashid Khan to Kane, FOUR runs, pulls the ball into the legside and it lands just before the rope
Rashid Khan to Little, OUT, Well that didn't last long! Little swings hard at the ball, what did he have to lose? Well apart from his middle stump, as it gets knocked out of the ground...

J Little b Rashid Khan 0 (1m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
