Live scorecard and ball-by-ball details

Craig Ervine could not prevent Zimbabwe from failing to reach the follow-on target but Kane Williamson chose not to enforce it, opting instead for New Zealand to add to their 220-run lead. This was the first day in the two-and-a-half weeks New Zealand have been in Zimbabwe that they were not greeted by clear skies. A cloud cover blocked the sun but with a chilly breeze blowing, there was a little hope of swing through the air.
