Houston's Oliver still bothered by knee, ruled out

Houston's Ed Oliver, who was originally expected to return for Saturday's game against SMU, did not feel comfortable on his knee after warm-ups and was ruled out, the team announced.

After going through warmups, All-American defensive tackle Ed Oliver will not play tonight vs. SMU. Houston announced earlier today that he would play after missing last week's game vs. USF with a knee bruise. Oliver did not feel comfortable on the knee in warmups, according to a team spokesman.

He's the first FBS QB with 400+ passing yards, 100+ rushing yards and 7 TDs responsible for in a game since Mississippi State's Nick Fitzgerald in 2016.
