SOURCES: Arizona is hiring former Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin as its next head coach. An official announcement is expected shortly. Sports Illustrated first reported the hire. Cal offensive coordinator Beau Baldwin also interviewed for the position, along with Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo.

Navy's Niumatalolo pulls out of Arizona job hunt

After interviewing with Arizona brass about the open football coaching job, Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo told ESPN's Heather Dinich that he will remain with Navy with "unfinished business to finish."

Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo sent me a text today confirming he is staying at Navy and withdrawing his name from consideration for the Arizona job. It read: "After much prayer and pondering, it has become crystal clear the USNA is a special place with special people and I LOVE IT HERE!!! Plus I have unfinished business to finish."

Navy announced on Sunday that football coach Ken Niumatalolo is staying with the Midshipmen and no longer considering the Arizona vacancy.

Arizona's coaching search seems to be entering the home stretch. Cal offensive coordinator Beau Baldwin and former Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin are in the mix, but Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo is emerging as another strong candidate to watch. Niumatalolo is 84-48 in 10 seasons at Navy.
