Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley on resetting the Sooners' offense this year under QB Kyler Murray, who is replacing Heisman winner Baker Mayfield: "We don't really feel like we're building it back up. You just start from where you're starting and make it as good as you can." Three games in under Murray, it's good.

Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley on Iowa State, which is 0-2: "They're going to give people fits." Riley said the play of Cyclones' QB Zeb Noland was "eerily similar" to Kyle Kempt's performance in beating OU last year in Norman.

Iowa State is going to make this a four-quarter game against Oklahoma. The Cyclones have shown zero dropoff offensively with Zeb Noland in command. And if there's one running back in this game you want in a competitive fourth quarter, he's not on the OU sideline. It's David Montgomery, who scored to bring ISU within one touchdown here in the third.

Kyler Murray at halftime in the heat at Iowa State: 13-of-17 passing for 268 yards and three touchdowns. The Cyclones made a push. Murray and the fifth-ranked Sooners pushed back harder.

Through the first quarter here at Iowa State, Oklahoma looks set to replace Rodney Anderson with more than one man. Trey Sermon played the opening series; Marcelias Sutton handled the next drive at running back, though Kyler Murray and Marquise Brown have taken care of all the heavy lifting as OU built a 10-0 lead.
