No announcement from Scott Frost today on the availability of QB Adrian Martinez this week as the Huskers visit Michigan. Martinez returned to practice on Monday. "Until I hear from our trainers" that he has progressed to the point where his condition does not enhance the likelihood to suffer additional injury, Frost said, "we'd be foolish to play him." It may come down to game day, according to the coach.

Leaving Lincoln. Thinking Nebraska is not going to generate much noise within the Big Ten or nationally this year, especially if the Injury to Adrian Martinez is significant, but a new day has no doubt dawned for the Huskers. The mistakes will diminish over time, and the tempo and physicality that was so evident today with seven sacks and 329 rushing yards will come to largely define Scott Frost's program. ‬Patience is going to be essential, though.

Quite a scene in the aftermath at Memorial Stadium as Colorado scores with 66 seconds to play to take victory from Nebraska, winning 33-28 in the debut of coach Scott Frost with the Huskers. Backup Nebraska QB Andrew Bunch threw twice into the end zone in the final seconds, but the Huskers could not move past the CU 21. Adrian Martinez continues to impress. Dropped a 57-yard strike perfectly into the hands of JD Spielman for his first career touchdown pass. Martinez is well on his way to one of the greatest debuts by a Nebraska QB. Crazy stuff for the first true freshman ever to start an opener here. Huskers lead Colorado 28-20.
