McKinnon's late TD helps Wagner come back over CCSU 25-21

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. -- Matthias McKinnon's 1-yard touchdown run with 1:06 left capped a 15-point fourth quarter and Wagner came back to beat Central Connecticut State 25-21 on Saturday.

McKinnon's touchdown capped a nine-play, 54-yard drive, but the two-point conversion failed. CCSU (1-5, 0-2) moved up to its 48 with five seconds remaining, but Jacob Dolegala's Hail Mary attempt was intercepted by Tim Hayes to end the game.

Denzel Knight led Wagner (4-2, 2-0 Northeast) with 150 yards rushing and a 70-yard touchdown run. McKinnon finished with 73 yards on 18 carries.

CCSU built a 21-10 halftime lead on a pair of second-quarter touchdown passes from Dolegala. He hit Joey Fields on a 74-yard catch-and-run, and hooked up with Jose Garcia on a 25-yard scoring strike. Dolegala finished 18 of 36 with 243 yards. Cameron Nash had 97 yards rushing on 13 carries with a 2-yard touchdown run.
