AHL's Wolves sign Oak Park native

The Chicago Wolves announced on Monday that they have signed an Oak Park native to a contract.

Patrick Galivan completed a four-year career at Western Michigan University this spring and led the team with a career-high 19 goals this season. Galivan also had 28 assists and 47 points in 41 outings for WMU. Galivan, who is a graduate of Oak Park-River Forest High School, scored 35 goals and had 60 assists for 95 points with 112 penalty minutes in 122 games with the Broncos from 2005-09.

Prior to joining Western Michigan, Galivan played for two seasons with the Texarkana Bandits of the North American Hockey League from 2003-05. During that time, he recorded 37 goals, had 43 assists and racked up 95 penalty minutes in 103 matchups.
