Manny Paquiao seemed to begin a campaign to coax UFC star Conor McGregor back into the boxing ring sooner rather than later with his latest Instagram message.

Pacquiao, the only eight-division world champion in the history of the sport tagged McGregor in a Thanksgiving message.

Happy Thanksgiving! Stay fit my friend. #realboxingmatch #2018 @thenotoriousmma

McGregor took to the boxing ring for the first time in August where he suffered a 10th-round defeat to Floyd Mayweather, and he has not yet made a return to the Octagon.

Pacquiao last fought in July, losing his WBO welterweight belt to Jeff Horn in controversial circumstances with many pundits believing that Pacquiao had done enough to retain the title.
