James DeGale is looking forward to fighting Dyah Davis without any injury worries, having admitted he had previously entered the ring when not fully fit.

DeGale has been receiving physiotherapy for a knee injury, a problem that has troubled him since February, but confirmed he is more than ready for his November 16 bout with the American.

"I feel really good, just going through training nice and I just want to box. November 16, we're ready," DeGale said.

"Self-confidence wise I'm right up there, because I was getting into the ring knowing that I wasn't 100%, so now, knowing that I'm fully fit and I've got no injuries, getting in there, I'm back to my old self - I'm back full of confidence."

Since suffering his only professional loss to date against George Groves in 2011, DeGale has hit back with six successive victories.

The 27-year-old returns to Glow, Bluewater to face Davis - the scene of his latest victory over Bozic - full of confidence and ready to further improve his career.

"I'm going to show that once and for all my knee problem is behind me," DeGale said. "I think from the Hadillah Mohoumadi fight you've seen me gradually get better.

"Through the Fulgencio Zuniga fight, Sebastien Demers and Stjepan Bozic, you've seen me bending more, throwing more shots, throwing my combinations, using angles more. So in this one you'll see another big difference as well."
