Hatton warns Brook over SenchenkoESPN staff October 16, 2013 « Ronaldo has great abs - Schwarzenegger | Anderson aiming for 400 Test wickets »
Ricky Hatton has issued a warning to Kell Brook ahead of the Sheffield star's fight with Vyacheslav Senchenko on October 26.
Unbeaten Brook faces Senchenko at the Motorpoint Arena in his native Sheffield, but former five-time world champion Hatton believes his fellow Brit will have a tough tie on his hands.
Ex-WBA welterweight champion Senchenko marred Hatton's comeback fight in November 2012 when he stopped the Mancunian with a crushing body blow at the end of the ninth round.
However, Hatton believes if Brook follows the route taken by Paul Malignaggi - who defeated Senchenko for the WBA welterweight title in April last year - he will have no problem in maintaining his undefeated record.
"He's [Senchenko] a lot tougher than he looks," Hatton said. "He's a tall boxer-type but he's not a skilful boxer.
"Kell is a really good boxer and Paulie [Malignaggi] showed that Vyacheslav can be out boxed so if Kell chooses to box him rather than go to war with him like I did, and picks his moments when to put it to him, I think he will do the business."
