Bellew v Chilemba rematch set for May 25
Tony and Bellew and Isaac Chilemba have agreed to a rematch of their light-heavyweight clash, which will take place on the undercard of Carl Froch's showdown with Mikkel Kessler.
Bellew and Chilemba fought to a frustrating draw in their first encounter, leaving both men to dispute who should have walked away with the victory.
The winner was set to book himself a world title shot against the winner of Chad Dawson v Adonis Stevenson later this year, a scenario that remains on the cards for the victor of their rematch on May 25.
"The winner of the fight was to become the mandatory challenger for Dawson's WBC belt but it was a draw so there was no mandatory challenger," Eddie Hearn explained to Sky Sports News. "We need to find one.
"Both men were reasonably poor on the night so both need to get it off their backs. They're doing it in double-quick time."
Hearn is still hopeful that the winner of Bellew v Chilemba can book a world title shot for Dawson's belt by the end of the year. The Matchroom promoter pin-pointed September as the likely month.
"Dawson could potentially fight on the same night, they're rumouring that against Adonis Stevenson. Dawson's either fighting the same night or the week after," he said.
"Bellew or Chilemba will fight the winner of that fight probably in September but both men have to put in a much better performance this time. That's why they're fighting again so quickly, it's nine weeks from fight to fight, Tony is desperate to put on a much better show."
The Froch v Kessler II card is shaping into one of the best of the year, with George Groves also set to appear - although his opponent is yet to be named.
