Deontay Wilder has turned up the heat ahead of his rumoured fight with Audley Harrison in Sheffield next month.

There has been no official confirmation from either camp as to a heavyweight clash between Harrison and the unbeaten Wilder on the undercard to Amir Khan's clash with Julio Diaz, but both fighters have been hyping things on Twitter.

Harrison said on Monday that he was close to signing a deal for a fight, believed to be with Wilder. Over the course of the past couple of days, the talk has intensified and Amir Khan has added to speculation by saying he is excited by the prospect of the fight taking place on his undercard.

Wilder is undefeated in 27 fights and is being talked up as the saviour of US heavyweight boxing. With Harrison on the back of a win in Prizefighter, there are many who feel the veteran Brit would be out of his depth.

And Wilder has done little to throw people off the scent by retweeting a string of posts with regard to him meeting Harrison at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield on April 27.
