Bob Arum, promoter of Top Rank boxing, has hinted at plans to stage a super-tournament featuring four of the most exciting names in world boxing's welterweight division including former world champion Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquaio could feature alongside Juan Manuel Marquez, Brandon Rios and current WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley after Arum admitted to considering plans to host the tournament.

All four fighters are housed under the Top Rank stable, and Arum stated there were plenty of options to consider when looking at each fighter's history; former WBO champion Pacquiao has faced Marquez four times and also suffered defeat to current champion Bradley in June 2012.

"I've got four guys and after the March 30 rematch between [Brandon] Rios and Mike Alvarado they will sit down with me and we will figure this thing out," Arum told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard.

"Manny might fight Rios if he beats Alvarado or he might fight Bradley in a rematch or Marquez in a fifth fight. I've got four attractive fighters and we'll mix and match them."

Speaking in a conference call to promote the rematch between Rios and Alvarado, Arum insisted that blockbuster occasions are what boxing fans wanted to see.

"They (fans) want to see action. Alvarado and Rios are action fighters. Bradley showed he's an action fighter. They don't play around. They don't dance around. They fight.

"That's what the public wants to see. Marquez is an action fighter. Pacquiao is an action fighter. We'll mix and match as we go on because they are the big fights that people want to see."
