Pacquiao delays announcement on opponent
Promoter Bob Arum has revealed he will meet with Manny Pacquiao on Monday to discuss his next opponent, which further delays the announcement.
Reports earlier this week suggested Pacquiao's November outing would be confirmed by Sunday at latest, but that date looks likely to pass by without more being known.
Pacquiao seems to have three options: Timothy Bradley, the WBO welterweight champion, who beat him last time out; Juan Manuel Marquez, who he has battled three times before; or Miguel Cotto, who he defeated in 2009.
"I've been talking with the camps," Arum said, according to the Manila Bulletin. "I will be talking with Manny this Monday."
Bradley has expressed frustration at being left in limbo, attempting to goad Pacquiao by suggesting he is "scared" to lose again.
