Mayweather clashes with Pacquiao over gay marriage
Pacquiao revealed this week that he did not agree with same-sex marriage, but denied making more extreme comments on the topic of homosexuality.
Meanwhile, Mayweather saw fit to give his Twitter followers some clarity over his position. "I stand behind President Obama & support gay marriage," he tweeted.
"I'm an American citizen & I believe people should live their life the way they want."
A fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao still looks some way away: Mayweather is about to embark on an 87-day jail term, while Pacquiao faces a tough test against unbeaten American Timothy Bradley on June 9.
Furthermore, there is the thorny issue of how to distribute any pay-per-view money between the two. Mayweather feels he should be entitled to the lion's share of that pot.
