O'Sullivan the Masters favourite

Everyone describes Ronnie O'Sullivan as a genius, and to fair to the man, he is, which is why he is the favourite to win the Masters this week at the Alexandra Palace in North London.

'The Rocket' successfully defended his world championship title last May after a year out of the sport, but it was in 2009 since he last lifted the most prestigious event on the snooker calendar, the Masters.

Absent from the tournament 12 months ago because of his sabbatical, O'Sullivan will be hungry for success, and bet365 have him as the slight favourite to win at 11/4.

Defending champion Mark Selby is the second favourite at 11/2 having won the Masters three times in the past six years.
