Man United trailing in title race at 5/2

Manchester United have had a mixed pre-season, and adjusting to life without Sir Alex Ferguson has been tough for new manager David Moyes. He has seen transfer targets sign for other clubs, and there is a danger that the league champions may not bring in fresh faces in order to successfully defend their title.

Which is why the likes of rivals Manchester City and Chelsea are ahead of them in the market to become Premier League champions this season, with both City and Chelsea priced at 9/4 on bet365.

Manuel Pellegrini has spent close to £100 million on recruits at City, while the Jose Mourinho impact is set to kick in at Chelsea, leaving United third favourites for the title at 5/2.

Perhaps the signing of Cesc Fabregas could propel United to the top, but given the way their summer has been so far, they have plenty of work to do if they want to become the title favourites.
