If the selectors for Australia's women's side for a forthcoming tri-nations tournament wanted to guarantee headlines then their selection of the uncapped Chloe Butler ensured just that.
Although the 26-year-old Butler is one of 15 uncapped players in the 26-woman squad, she is a familiar name to many. After a brief career in Australia during which time she played rugby, she moved to the USA where she starred as a wide receiver and defensive end for Los Angeles Temptation in the Lingerie Football League.
In 2013 Butler returned to Australia to help with the setting up of a similar venture in Australia at which point she returned to playing rugby.
The official Walleroos website describes Butler as having "experience in rugby union as well having played for the Parramatta Two Blues and impressed in last year's National Women's Championship in Sydney".
It is hard not to feel some sympathy for the other 25 players as, through no fault of her own, what media attention the announcement of the squad will attract will centre on Butler and her time in the USA.
